Liquid Assets Public Outreach Initiative
The primary community outreach mission of Liquid Assets: The Story of Our Water Infrastructure is to expand public knowledge about the history, engineering challenges, and the political and economic realities of our essential infrastructure systems: water, wastewater, and stormwater.
Outreach in Your Community
If you are a member of an environmental organization, municipality, or other community group, you might want to think about holding an event or partnering with your local public television station on a Liquid Assets outreach activity, in conjunction with the broadcast, to inform the public about the water infrastructure in your area.
Examples of such activities are community discussions, town meetings, documentary screenings, and stream clean-ups. A Liquid Assets Community Toolkit will be released in June 2008 to help promote the local broadcast and facilitate local events. We will post to this Web site customizable materials, including logos, ads, flyers, invitations, press releases, production stills, and more.
Press Materials
A press release and accompanying graphics also will be posted to this site in June 2008. Immediate press needs should be addressed to Jill Filby, jillfilby@psu.edu, 814-863-9912.
